3:00pm Catholic Church Dr. David Evans, assisted by the Madrigal Singers of the
School of Music, Bangor University.
Dr. Evans’ talk will show the state of choral music in 17th century Wales, including recently discovered Chirk Castle manuscripts, and an evaluation of arguably Wales’s greatest composer, Thomas Tomkins of St. David’s, to music in the court of Charles I.
